and checks make an even bigger difference! Please make checks payable
to: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This fundraiser will end on
Friday, May 9th. Thank you!
There will be some parents outside the GLC on this Friday before the
start of school to receive the flowers.

STUDENT MEAL INCREASE FOR 2008-2009

Please take a moment and search under the beds and on student's
bookshelves for any overdue books from the library or lost classroom
textbooks. You will be receiving a notification from Mrs. Gallatin
regarding any books that have not been returned. If your child
cannot find the book, they will be charged for the lost book.
Books are very expensive and we cannot afford to absorb the cost
of lost or destroyed books. Students will not receive a report card
until all library charges are paid. If the book is found after you
have paid, your money will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding
regarding this matter.
If you have any extra empty egg cartons at home, please bring them to
the office or the art room.

planning, and other classroom skills.
Find out more by attending our Volunteer Information Meeting.

END OF THE YEAR ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students must be in attendance on the last day of school to guarantee
their place in the district for the following school year. When the
student returns, if space is available at his or her school, the student
will be reinstated. If no space is available, the student will be
assigned to another school in the district where space is available.
If the student is ill, parents must notify the school of the absence
and provide documentation.
When you are making travel plans, please consider the possible ramifications. If you have any questions, please contact Student Assignment at (408) 252-3000, Extension 110. CUSD STRATEGIC PLAN 2008-2011
The Cupertino Union School District is in the process of developing
the 2008-2011 Strategic Plan. This document identifies the main areas

The Board of Education would like to solicit feedback from the
community regarding the plan. Interested community members are invited
to provide their input during two public hearings to be held on
April 22, 2008 and May 13, 2008. Both of these hearings will be
part of the regularly scheduled Board of Education meetings and will
start at 6:30 p.m. The May 13, 2008 Board of Education meeting will be
held at Collins Elementary School in Cupertino.
