For the School Year 2006-2007, Nimitz received a sizeable one-time grant to improve the school. The School Staff, the School Site Council, the Nimitz PTA, and the Nimitz Diversity Committee were unanimous in supporting the decision to allocate a large portion of those funds to Library Improvements - specifically books for children and younger readers. One area the school could use help with is to collect literate from Around the World. If you would like to suggest a children's classic story or folk tale in another language and/or translated for our library collection please complete the form online. You can also view books already suggested for that collection.
