Join us in bringing Nimitz students experience from around the world (or right next door!). Share a favorite dish, dessert, or drink from your culture (including American) with all the students.

This year, on November 17th, the Nimitz Diversity Committee will host its 6th Thanksgiving Cultural Feast. Please participate by:

• bringing a dish, dessert or drink
• making a donation to pay for supplies [make checks out to Nimitz PTA]
• volunteering some time to help with setup, cleanup, and/or service,

To give organizers sufficient time to plan layout of tables and dishes, please submit your volunteer forms by the Deadline - end of Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011.

Paper Form. If you cannot sign up online, you should have received a paper form included in the Thursday blue folders or download and print the form out from this link. Return completed forms to the Office by the same deadline.

The event will occur as an extension of the student lunch. The feast is meant only as a supplement to ordinary lunch, although, typically with such events, we have plenty of food left over. Lunch times for each grade will be staggered classroom and grade as they usually are. Adults will be present to assist the students and to explain the dish.

If bringing a dish, please provide something that will feed about 40 - 60 STUDENT SIZED SERVINGS and PROVIDE FOOD IN TWO DISPOSABLE CONTAINERS.

The serving arrangement will be a buffet with two rows on each side of a long winding row of tables. With two serving containers for each dish, we can place a container, one on each side of the buffet. Thank you
