Dear Parents:
Welcome to Nimitz Elementary school!
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a professional
nationwide non-profit organization with over 5 million
members devoted to the educational success of children and
the promotion of parent involvement in schools.
The Nimitz PTA is dedicated to the well being of our
students and is involved at school in many different
ways. The Nimitz PTA provides funding for school
assemblies, school supplies, art and technology instruction,
Family Science Night, Running Club, library and classroom
books, and much more. We also sponsor community building
events such as the International Thanksgiving Feast
(run by our Diversity Committee), Family Welcome Picnic,
Spring Dance, and other family events thoughout the
year. The PTA is able to support these school activities
because of our parent volunteers, financial donations
to our Direct Donation Campaign, and PTA membership dues.
I invite you to be a part of your child's education and
our community. When the PTA gets involved, children benefit.
When you get involved with PTA, the child that benefits
most is your own.
